“We cannot speak more highly of our experience with Michelle (Lillywhite Photography), who (along with her awesome team) photographed our wedding this past October.
We were looking for a photographer who would focus on capturing genuine and candid moments throughout our wedding day, rather than one who wanted to force us into poses or cause us to feel self-conscious/unnatural. Michelle ended up being just the perfect fit for us. Michelle and her team put us instantly at ease, and implemented a “fly on the wall” approach that was on another level… a lot of our guests commented that they didn’t even realize who our photographers were… which, after witnessing several wedding ceremonies being disrupted by the photographers’ conduct, is an exceptional feat. And while we were dreading the obligatorily “posed” portion of picture taking (with our families and as a couple), Michelle made it quick and painless, and somehow even managed to get us comfortable in front of the camera– it really just ended up feeling like we were goofing around with a couple of friends.
Michelle went above and beyond by going to our wedding venue ahead of time and scouting the perfect location for our couples’ photos– a eucalyptus grove only 5 minutes away– based on her conversations with us and the vibe we were going for (which we don’t think we articulated particularly well, but somehow she just understood perfectly). We got married on the coast, so having wedding pictures that are both beach-y and woods-y feels pretty unique and unexpected– and that would not have been possible absent Michelle’s commitment to us and our wedding day, as well as her incredible vision.
Additionally, the end result ended up amazing us. Michelle got us our pictures in less than 2 months (an unheard of turn-around time), even though it was smack in the middle of the holiday season. Her use of light (at which she is insanely talented) and the special little moments she captured left us speechless… we are now having a lot of trouble deciding which (out of over 500 images!) to print/frame. At the end of the day, her work really speaks for itself– and we are just thrilled with it.
All in all, we found Michelle to be warm and extremely engaging, but also very professional and intuitive. Our only regret is that we did not hire her to also photograph the other events we hosted over our wedding weekend! In a sea of wedding vendors, Michelle is truly top-notch, both as a photographer, and as a person.”

“I met Michelle in February 2014, just one month before my wedding day. I had seen some of her work through a friend, and knew that even tho I had a short timeline I had to try to book her.
Fortunately she was available and I feel so blessed to have had her as our wedding photographer. Michelle captured every moment of our wedding so perfectly.
